What do I need to participate?  

Motivation & Basic Skills
The average pilot invests around 20 hours per month into this hobby. Be willing to take at least 4 hours of net flying each month, else you might be excluded in the future.
You need to be quite fluent in english and aviation english in order to understand all instructions and pages. Also you must be able to take off and land in your SWISS Aircraft from day one. We do not yet provide training services.

Computer Setup
Depending on your budget and desires, your computer setup my vary largely. Here are some examples:

Software
Most of our pilots use Microsoft Flight Simulator X or 2004. Some use X-Plane from Austin Meyer's Laminar Research.
Depending on your Platform and your preferences, you may choose either of these. Be aware that we officially only support Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Network software
All our pilots are required to sign up for the VATSIM Network. This network allows you to fly in a multiplayer environment and enjoy professional Air Traffic Control services across the globe.
